November 2012
During the month of November, MACH will place three PODS storage containers at strategic locations around Montgomery to serve as collection points for new and gently used blankets, coats, socks, hats, and other winter wear. The PODS containers will be located behind Sinclair's Cloverdale on Boultier Street; at the Regions Bank at 301 Coliseum Blvd.; and the Festival Plaza shopping center at the intersection of Taylor and Vaughn Roads. The PODS will be open on three Saturdays in November (November 3, 10, & 17) from 10 AM to 2 PM to accept donations from the public. Various local businesses and organizations have also volunteered to place boxes out for collection in public places throughout the River Region.
The Blanket Drive was sponsored by the Junior League of Montgomery, with special thanks to PODS Storage Containers, Festival Plaza, Regions Bank @ Coliseum Blvd., and Boultier Street, LLC.

Second Annual River Region Connects
Saturday, July 25, 2011
River Region Connects, held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the City of St. Jude, was a great success for all involved. The event connected homeless individuals and families with the medical, employment, and personal services they need. Representatives from various government and community agencies were on hand to conduct health screenings and to distribute information about their services. Local organizations assisted the homeless with finding employment, education, shelter, health care, and other supports. The event also featured musical entertainment and lunch. River Region Connects was presented in partnership with the City of St. Jude and was supported in part by a grant from the Junior League of Montgomery.
Thank you to the many agencies, businesses, and volunteers who participated!
